A brief statement about the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Although at the time of newsletter release there have been no reported cases of the coronavirus in the Savannah, GA region, we must all continue to be informed and cautious. Since our airplanes are shared assets, please pay attention to your health and contact your doctor and fellow Aviators should you or a passenger report symptoms. Evaluate the situation around your destination prior to launch for cross country travel.

We recommend that you follow the commons suggestions from health professionals (frequent hand-washing, use of disinfectants, hand sanitizers, etc...). It is not our intention at this time to limit travel in Club airplanes but, this may change based on the spread of the virus and member preference. Each Aviator will be contacted if this virus affects any part of our operations.

Finally, remember the I.M.S.A.F.E checklist and contact an FAA AME (Dr. Timms, Dr. Roth, etc...) if you have questions about the coronavirus and its impact on your aviation experience. I encourage you to share any vetted advice with our community via social media and absorb the information that is already available from reputable sources (AOPA, etc...).
